Slow growing seasons often produce highly aromatic wines and this is most evident in the Second Fiddle Rose. Selecting the bright flavour fruit and harvested early, this rose is lively and rich while retaining the natural structure and crispness of the early sourced bunches. With aromas of passionfruit and guava leaping from the glass, the refined wine flows gently with red berry flavour and a fresh finish.

The Killerman’s Run Collection is masterfully composed from Kilikanoon’s diverse vineyard sites and sub-regions, delivering an elegant and approachable style.
The vineyard is planted on deep loam over limestone soils that tend to produce larger berries with higher juice to skin ratios, producing perfect fruit to create a crisp, dry and flavoursome Rosé.
The bunches for the Rosé were harvested earlier in the season to retain the natural crisp acidity of the fruit. These bunches were held on skins for just a couple of hours, allowing for the colour and ripe flavours to develop before being lightly pressed. The juice was fermented slowly at low temperatures to maintain the bright aromas of the variety.
Best consumed young but will develop additional complexity with 1 – 3 years in the cellar.
