TASTING NOTES

Aroma

Freshly buttered toast with lemon curd, with hints of cashews, brioche and lime marmalade.

Palate

Shows both generosity and finesse, with a fine, creamy mousse.  There are flavours of honey, green mango and grapefruit and there is a persistent, crisp, dry finish.

Maturation

This current release has already started to mellow gracefully, and will continue to do so for several years to come, yielding those further hints of honey and toast which are typical of mature Riesling.

Place

Clare Valley.

The fruit is 100% hand-picked Riesling from low yielding vines growing at just under 500m above sea level on our own vineyards near Sevenhill in the picturesque Clare Valley. Clare is, of course, renowned for its fine Riesling!

Winemaking

The wine was bottle fermented and aged on lees for 30 months.
