Sablefish (or black cod) lives in cold waters at the bottom of the ocean. The fish has shiny black skin and pearly white flesh. This is one of the ten most delicious fish in the world with high nutritional value, loved by many diners.
The fish are caught monthly by specialized fishing vessels. After being caught, the cod are cleaned, de-headed and gutted and frozen right on board. Therefore, they maintain high nutritional content and fresh quality.
Sablefish is known for its rich, sweet, naturally soft and fragrant meat that does not really smell fishy. The meat is lean, low in fat, firm but not dry and hard.
