Kilikanoon Killerman's Run Riesling is a powerful, intensely flavoured Riesling that delivers outstanding value.
Mr Killerman, as a young Mort Mitchell called him, lived alone in a humble tin shed in the hills behind the Kilikanoon Cellar Door. Entirely self-sufficient, he grew his own fruit and vegetables and roamed the valley for his meals with rabbits being his favourite gourmet treat.
Mort grew to know and respect this man of the bush, learning the secrets of the land and how to become one with the environment. The Killerman's Run range of approachable wines showcases the distinguished and varied terroir of the Clare Valley and the Kilikanoon philosophy of uncompromised quality and consistency.

TASTING NOTES
Colour: Brilliant water like colour with a light tinge of green around the outskirts.
Aroma: Jumping out of the glass are pronounced lime and lemon scents with some orange rind, chalky talc and subtle flinty mineral notes also evident.
Palate: Possessing terrific intensity for its price point, mouth watering lime, citrus and orange rind fruits are the drivers with elements of chalky talc and minerals taking a back seat. Shows good volume in the mouth, finishing dry and crisp with a long crunchy aftertaste.

WINEMAKING
Once harvested, the grapes were placed into the press where they were drained and gently pressed to tank for cold settling. The racked juice was fermented cool for three weeks to retain freshness and delicate aromatics. The finished wine was then stabilised and filtered to ensure clarity and longevity.
