Pink pickled ginger (or gari / sushi ginger) is a type of pickled vegetables to be taken with the salmon sashimi, or other sashimi. It is sweet, sliced ginger that has been marinated in a solution of sugar and Japanese pink vinegar.

The reason pink pickled ginger is supposed to be taken with raw food is because it has minor anti-microbial properties, which may be useful when consuming this type of uncooked food.

Instruction: To be taken with raw food

Preservation: If not yet opened, keep at room temperature.
